(pronouns)

My preferred methods of communication

No preference, although for most complex design problems, I prefer to get on a zoom and cut the time short instead of going back and forth on slack.

When I like to work

Wednesday meeting free. Wednesday, Thursday and alternate Fridays are shorter because of my parenting responsibilities (starting later, finishing earlier) QLD hours

How I like to work

I work remotely from sunny Brisbane!

Qualities I value in colleagues

I value vulnerability, honesty, positivity and the ability to speak one’s mind. Strengths I envy- Strategic, Analytical, Learner.

How I best receive design feedback

I don’t get design feedback but for general feedback- anyway and the more the merrier

Things that stress/frustrate me

Frustration is a big word but not knowing how a feedback I had given was received or addressed. I prefer getting a- “I don’t agree with it rather than a nod but then nothing is actioned. I appreciate looping back and letting me know how things progress, even if they are delayed”

How others can get the best of me

For design feedback> Give me enough context and give me enough time. I like to ask questions and I like to understand how we can solve things at a macro-level (futuristic). I’m visual and conversational- if you send me a doc to read, it’ll take me longer so if you want a more immediate response, get me on a call.

How I learn best

As mentioned, I learn by seeing things diagrammed and talking. Less by reading long word documents.

How I like to be supported

If you need my help with feedback on a written document, I will appreciate if you can illustrate what you need specifically and you might need to remind me. We always delay thing we aren't good at :-) Don’t ask me to note take as I’m a bad speller and am embarrassed by it. Sending me a link to read an article feels like homework so if you want to ‘teach me’ something, this would need to be summarised.

What motivates me
